Why blog?

This blog's purpose is to provide resources for high school science teachers looking for useful ways to improve their classroom, their teaching materials, and their lessons!

Who am I?  I am a mom who taught in both private and public high schools before I decided to take some time away from the classroom to raise my toddler son.  I taught Biology of all levels, Advanced Placement Biology, Forensics, Geometry, Genetics, and Ecology and I am certified to teach both Biology and Chemistry.  I love teaching science!  

I create lessons and teacher resources both as a hobby and as a part-time job selling my resources on TeachersPayTeachers.com.  My ultimate goal is to improve my own teaching materials for when I go back to the classroom in a few years!  If you have any comments, encouragement, or other useful tips you want to add, please leave them in the comments below each post.  I am always looking for feedback to improve my teaching!
